Title: ‘The Role of Vasilis Tsitsanis in the Development of the Greek Urban Song’

 

 

On Friday 22/02/2013 at 19:30, at the ‘Eugène Delacroix’ Hall of the Greek-French School of Athens, there is to be an event-tribute to the great urban popular composer Vasilis Tsitsanis. This musical evening is part of a general programme prepared by the school in order for students to discover Greekness and the Byzantine dromi in modern Greek urban popular music. Towards this effort the assistance of Mr Nikos Ordoulidis, PhD University of LeedsEngland, and special researcher of the musical contribution of V. Tsitsanis is significant. Coordinating teachers: Ms Kouvaka (music teacher), Mr Kosmas (philologist), Ms Georgiou (philologist), Ms Engelmann (artist-art teacher).
